Make-up Products to Make Your Day Run Smoother!
So we all know that some of us are new to make-up or want to find products for school.
We all have those days when we have that foundation line around our face.
In this post I will show you some great school-friendly make-up products which are great for a budget too!
Firstly, this post is not an urge to get you to wear make-up. If you don't want to wear it, don't wear it. And if you don't have anything to cover, don't put on foundation, it may make you get spots when you're older. Only wear make-up if you want to and if you feel your ready. Never wear it because someone wants you to. This is just a guide for those who want to wear it.
Here we go:
So, If you want your make-up to last
all day and throughout PE lessons
then it is best to use a primer like
this one from maybelline which you simply rub into the skin. It's the
best cheap one I can find and helps
minimise the appearance of spots
Next, you would want a LIGHT foundation. Anything too
heavy and it is obvious that you're wearing make-up. This
one from No7 is great because it's light, easy to blend and you
can have a colour match scan at the counter in Boots so it will
match your skin tone. A little of this goes a long way too! Just apply
with clean fingers or a make-up sponge or brush.
Now, concealing. This is used on
the under-eye area and to any blemishes
the foundation hasn't covered. If you only
have a few blemishes then just conceal
without the the foundation. Just place on
your blemishes and gently pat into the skin.
Then, you'll want to set your base with a powder.
Use a cosmetic brush to dab onto your face -
be extra careful not to wipe away your concealer.
This will help keep your make-up on much longer.
This is optional. As I only wear foundation in my T-
zone, I do not wear blusher.
For those who do, choose a
natural pink to make it
acceptable for school. Use a
brush and and gently apply to
wherever your natural blush is
to enhance it.
Now, for the eyes and this is completely optional and
perhaps a bit more for the upper school years. Eyeliner
can really help your eyes stand out so I've chosen a
waterproof one so you can swim with it on, do PE with
it and last in extreme heat without this running at all!
Apply to the bottom water line or the top lash line to
make lashes appear thicker!
Now for mascara, something
I know most girls like to
wear. My first one is
waterproof so great for you
sporty girls out there! It also
gives great volume. Then I
have a subtle mascara which
makes the eye pop. Just apply
to the top lashes!
Finally, lip balm. I believe that this is more suitable
for school than a lipstick as it isn't overwhelming.
I have chosen some of my personal favourite lip
balms - BABY LIPS! I have realised that they
have became such a huge craze here at mill chase!
There are 6 scrumptious flavours and here are just
2! The one on the left is a tinted cherry one and
they right one is a normal minty one. I would recommend
all 6!
So I hope that you have all enjoyed this post and have more inspiration for your school make-up. Feel free to send more make-up suggestions to mcacademybloggers@gmail.com or come and see if we're in our office in GBLOCK.
